A quick and relatable read. I know very well the feeling of putting so much stock in your job because it feels like where youâre meant to be, or a place where you excel and fit in perfectly. I wish society were different, and people like Kieko could exist how they wish without criticism. There was a really weird comment about a crying baby that felt out of place and I canât really stop thinking about it lol.

âThey were careless people, [âŠ] they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.â - The Great Gatsby
A must-read work of narrative nonfiction. I will read every book PRK publishes. He spoke at a book club I attended and his responses to our questions were so well composed. This book should be required reading for everyone in America.

I started with the Audiobook and idk why I was so lost. I listen to audiobooks all the time so idk why this one had me lost. Maybe a combination of all the character names, settings, etc⊠and honestly Iâm embarrassed to say that the narratorâs (Simon Vance) British accent was a bit tough for me to follow. The entire narration cast is very talented, but the fact that in different scenes they have some characters voiced by other narrators, and some by Simon could be the case as well. Anyway, I ended up grabbing the ebook and now consuming it as a read-along and itâs been so much better. Iâm very much enjoying the book now. Just wanted to share my experience with the audiobook.

I never read The Odyssey in school and want to correct that. Does anyone have a favorite translation they would recommend?
