Having recently learned about the abuses this author has perpetuated along with lying about their identity by claiming to be bipoc thus stealing spaces and resources from marginalized communities, I'm removing any reviews and ratings of books I've read by them. I'm also removing all TBR titles from my shelves.

I've been opposed to their idea of repatrition that they expressed in this book specifically, it was shared with no thought at all to the safety, needs, or well-being of disabled marginalized bipocs already in Global South locales. No thought at all to how repatriating Global North bipocs to their diasporic homelands would contribute structurally and economically to gentrification and over-development and loss of spaces which we in these locales are already experiencing via "expat" communities, while we fight against xenophobic legislatures to ensure safety of migrants and refugees. There's so much necessary nuances to be considered with the idea or repatriating from western and Global North locations, which they carelessly failed to address here. Leaving this note here as a reminder for me to no longer engage with this author's works.
