How is everyone doing this week?

I have to finish my week with a 6 hour solo road trip on Saturday, so my question for you all is:

If you had to listen to any audiobook on a road trip, what would it be? Could be one or could be multiple 🤔

I found it really striking when I realized that in the World Cup practically all the other countries were supporting Spain (ngl, the argentinians behaved...questionably). Anyway, we are winners! ☺️🫶🏻💗 How many of you, my dear readers, watched the match?? You had to give up reading a book that night, if that's what it was, which one?

Today in theaters I saw the preview for Other Mommy, an upcoming film adaptation of Incidents Around the House. Given that I don’t read much horror I was not familiar with the book, and when I found out it was adapted from a book with a much more interesting title, I grimaced. I’ve been noticing this pattern recently. Movie titles seem to be less clever than the titles of the books they are inspired by, and it’s irritating, but also interesting. Can anyone else think of any examples of this? I’m trying to decide if it’s a more recent thing, and to put my finger on why it’s happening. I suppose there’s the simple idea that movie makers are assuming more and more often that their audiences are stupid, but I don’t want to jump to any conclusions.

Also, this conversation has been making me curious: are there any movie titles you actually feel are an improvement? I can think of a few.

I really want to do a greek mythology fiction month where I just read as many of those books as my heart desire. I already have a couple, but I would love some more if you can think of any

Is that a lot of books? Yes. But I like having a huge variety whenever I do challenges like this. So please send recs my way! In reality I will prob only read 4-5 of them, but the more the merrier.
