    Graphic Audiobook Version

i read reviews that book one might be slow because of the word building so i decided to pick up the graphic audio book on a whim and i'm flying through it! 😍

plus points to the SFX. i'm enjoying feyre, tamlin and lucien's voiceover artists as well.

I really enjoyed this book overall. It’s a fast-paced read and I found myself surprisingly invested in the story — something that hasn’t happened for me in a while. The characters are flawed in very human ways, which made them frustrating at times, but also strangely relatable. You end up feeling for them even when they make questionable choices.

Some parts of the plot did feel a little too convenient, which occasionally pulled me out of the story. That said, the writing itself was engaging and there were quite a few lines that felt very highlight-worthy.

Despite a few moments that felt a bit too neatly resolved, it was still a really enjoyable read that kept me turning the pages. Definitely one of those books that’s easy to get absorbed in.

Interesting premise and an engaging overall storyline, though it felt a little too long at times (possibly personal preference). I appreciated the darker themes, but as a standalone, the magic system could have been explained more clearly—it was occasionally confusing. Overall, still a worthwhile read with notable highs, even if some parts dragged and were easy to skim.
