The Lying Life of Adults
Elena Ferrante
sulsul wrote a review...
Elena Ferrante's writing is vivid and so alive, I feel like I'm seeing it all play out before me; which is why I'm glad I haven't yet seen the series as this would give me the false impression that this is of it's manufacture and not the writing!
The characters feel real; they're complicated and imperfect, they have desires and envy and don't really know who they are or why they do the things they do or feel how they feel. I'm hooked! Excited to read the next in the series.
