Hooked a bit just from the first page. "So he was thirsty, although he had no particular urge to drink. In a vague way, all this pleased him. It was romantic." Damn. What a way to introduce a character. That says so much already.

do you plan which books you read per month? i naturally did this before using Pagebound, but since it has the monthly and yearly plan feature, i'm kind of even more obsessed with it. it helps me split between audiobook and print books too
for people who don't (godspeed), is it solely your mood, new releases, or all of your holds from Libby/CloudLibrary/Hoopla/etc arriving at ONE TIME, that decide what you read next? how does that affect your TBR?

When you go to a book’s page, is there a way to see more info about the book beyond the jacket blurb? Mostly I want to see the publisher and pub date but like Goodreads also shows like page count, edition info, genre info, etc. I’m wondering if there’s a way to see all that here

Love the idea of approaching singing as an actress first in order to embody the soul of the songs.

Reading this brought back so many fun memories from the old Tumblr days. For me that was 2010-2014. The communities there were so much fun, it is sad that no other social site has been able to replicate that since.

Memoirs from Interesting Women
Memoirs from women who have powerful stories to tell. Women I admire. Women who I might not admire, but have lived fascinatingly singular lives. Some I have read and some I have not yet. Taking suggestions if you’ve read a good one.
