This book captured me! Especially in audio book form, the world feels lush and deep. There are some standard fantasy tropes in here, which made it feel familiar but fresh. The only thing I didn't love was that the ending felt a little rushed, a little anticlimactic.

A searing read that I would recommend to EVERYONE as a start to learning about antisemitism.

Highly recommend as a brief, breezy introduction to how antisemitism shows up in leftist and progressive spaces. This is an older book, so it lacks detail into the increased antisemitic violence post 2021, primarily focused on issues of British politics and representation. When you feel defensive, pay attention.

this book feels like rage-bait and not the good kind so i’m so close to a DNF rn (and I don’t DNF books like ever)… Nina and Cecelia are insufferable and it just feels like constant gaslighting, the same kind of stuff over and over again. Please tell me it gets better😭😭😭😭😭
