5%. I've read 5% of this and it was enough to seriously PISS ME OFF. For the love of God, dude, LEARN HOW TO WRITE WOMEN!!
Strike one, the protagonist description: “She had the face of an idol, modest clothes over an admirable silhouette. She was gorgeous as a model but oh, she didn't know it! Also, she's a successful workaholic but her dream is getting married”
WTF IS THIS SHIT?? Seriously??
Strike two, the first scene: her boyfriend broke up with her out of nowhere and he's described as calm while she's described as CHILDISH for acting upset. (Also, she wants the asshole back??!)
Strike three, the other girl: doesn't give a fuck about the first girl and is described as a forgetful hoe that uses tears as a feminine weapon.
Fuck this shit. Fuck this book. Fuck this author. Fucking be better.

Thank you so much to the author for the ARC✨
2.5⭐️
Boyfriend from Hell had such a fun premise! The whole “prince from hell x human girl” setup hooked me instantly. Plus, the way it started with her making a wish on her birthday after a breakup? SO much potential.
But for me, the execution felt too rushed, even for a novella. Everything moved from point A to point B so quickly that I didn’t have time to really connect with the characters or the romance. I think this story would have shined so much more if it had been given the space of a full-length novel. The worldbuilding and the supernatural romance angle could have been fleshed out in a way that made it all feel richer and more impactful.
And then it ended on a cliffhanger, which honestly surprised me, because I was just starting to settle into the story. It makes me curious about where the author plans to take things next, but I still wish this installment had been a little more developed.
That said, I still think the idea is really creative, and I can definitely see people who enjoy quick, fast-paced novellas with paranormal twists having a fun time with it. Personally, I just wanted more! More depth, more time with the characters, and more development overall!

okay, i found out yesterday that this book has different endings in the UK vs US?? from what i've heard, i'm glad i've read the UK one as to me, it fits better with that characters, but i've not read the US one.
did anyone else not know this?? anyone who has read both - which did you read first, and which do you prefer? like, did one of them change your opinion about the book at all?
edit: i am so glad that instantly my shock is validated because yeah WHAT???
