Finally I’ve finished it! Almost DNF so many times.
Saeris and Kingfisher are becoming very annoying and dangerously co-dependent. It’s not cute, or fun or romantic.
I can appreciate the complexity of the plot and characters but this book is waaaaaaaay too long for what they achieve in the end.
The last 15-20% is the only redeeming part of this book.
Not sure I will read book 3, probably will end up just reading a summary and reviews with spoilers.

This book goes from “eehh…” to “EEeeeEeEeeehh?!?” Every 10 seconds.

Not my favorite, but Keri doesn’t disappoint once again.
Loved the characters and the story and all, but found some of the inner dialogues a bit too much and too long… 2 pages to describe going over a bridge… ugh.
And the repeated use of “mate”… no. We get it, the mate bond is awesome and you are excited, but no. Also, it doesn’t particularly fit Sloth.
Anyway, Keri delivers another good book!

Plot has potential, but we shall see.
The writing is ok, but things are either fast or too slow; either too descriptive or not enough… it’s weird.
Characters are vanilla, no dimension, and the usual trauma. There is nothing, absolutely nothing surprising or unexpected in this book.
Not sure if I will continue the series, but for now, I will go read something else.
