UGHHH the endingggggg omg,, wow even better than the first book and i had to immediately jump into the last one. Sam is by far my favourite!! but all the hobbits were eating in this book,, like why are they all so loveable!! i feel like all the characters are so likeable, even when they make mistakes. very well done and can’t wait to see how the trilogy is concluded!!

wow,, ok. I don't think I've ever read something like this before? very interesting and unique concept. more thriller-y than horror-y imo. This book was super descriptive, but I found myself going in and out of periods of being super interested and ready for the next page, and feeling like I was forcing myself to continue. sometimes Andrew was so hard to listen to, and it was incredible frustrating to see him make the decisions that he did (but also, why did every adult in this suck ass). Can't say I fully understood this book, but would say I mostly enjoyed it and it definitely made me feel things. overall, would recommend.

‘read’ this as an audiobook,, its was over 20 hours long omg. but wow i understand why this is so well loved!! crazy amount of lore and so so detailed,, i was listening to some sections multiple times until i felt like i really got it,, ill be taking a short break before continuing the series tho lol its def a heavier read,, and like the ‘voices’ and narration were a little harder for me to follow. one thing is i feel like this book spent a lot of time explaining things,, which was needed (and appreciated),, but it was for sure very tell not show. i’m excited to see what happens! can’t believe there’s two more books,, so much more must go on!!
