ARC Review: From the moment I met Nyx, I fell in love with him. I couldn't wait to learn his story, and this book did not disappoint. He has a lot of trauma and is learning about this world that he is now free in. He slowly forms a connection with Reyes that continues to develop, and it was lovely to experience. They found comfort within each other, bonded over nature and food, and slowly started to live again. Reyes is so protective of Nyx, and as Nyx starts to grow his shell, he reciprocates tenfold. I just wanted to hug them and never let go. The storyline with the military also continues to develop, and I can't wait to see what happens. I’m looking forward to learning about Xeni; I have so many predictions. And the family that they are creating! I love watching it grow.
