I'm having a hard time putting into words what I thought about this book. It had potential, but the way the whole story and characters were explored were very lacking. The reasoning for the family issues (between both families) was very shallow. I understand Nao being a brat, she's a teen with a very difficult life, but Ruth also just felt like someone that creates issues out of nothing.
I almost wish the entire book had been developed entirely on Nao's POV, since Ruth's doesn't add that much.
