I can't believe we lost Dolly and Tim in the same day (he passed late last night apparently).

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to tell me your favourite Tim Curry show/movie/musical/game, and give a book rec based on that piece of media.

I also read Tim's memoir, Vagabond earlier this year, and definitely recommend it.

Dolly Parton was an amazing philanthropist and singer. She was a queer ally and helped get kids free books. She did so much for education in East Tennessee. Truly a woman to look up to and her family is asking people to donate to her book program for kids instead of flowers to remember her. RIP Dolly you were amazing.

It's time once again to share something interesting you've learned about the world or yourself from this week's reading!

I'm reading The Light Eatersand woof, is it a mixed bag. The author speaks to some pretty questionable scientists and makes some pretty big leaps. I still think it's a good read to learn about how plants might sense and communicate with the world around them, but some follow-up research is probably necessary. A cool thing I learned about is that there's a plant in South America that mimics the leaf shape, color, and growing pattern of the plants around it. I'll look up the name and add it later, I've gotta start work in a few mins so I'm rushing this post ;)
