nice book but here are my opinions: i enjoyed the idea of this book, fbi two teenagers interview juvenile serial killers…except they as a team really only interviewed one together…🧐 the writing style is in 3rd person which is different from but i read but it honestly didn’t bother me. the one thing i don’t really like is i feel there was a lack of build up, instead of trying to figure out who the murderer is i feel like we were just handed the murderer there wasn’t really a mystery in my opinion. i understand it’s the fbi and not a murder mystery book where the unknown killer is a individual in a friend group, but i wish there was maybe more suspects involved to try and pick between. sometimes it felt bland and empty. i liked emma and travis’ characters but at the same time i didn’t love them, i didn’t really feel a strong connection to them. anyway on a lighter note, funny enough i unintentionally read this book and watched the show “mindhunter” at the same time. i thought “wow this book is so similar to mindhunter” then i looked in the acknowledgements and mindhunter is mentioned ☺️. i still enjoyed the book!

wow what an ending!! i didn’t see that coming. this book did the sub plot of romance very well, loved the dynamic between the two characters, the yearning too 🤭. so many twists that shocked me and many cliff hangers that i HAD to turn the page and keep reading. i def recommend for murder mystery with a sub plot of romance lovers!!!
