I don't know what I was thinking rating this 4 stars the first time I read this one.
Hey, Jeff Lindsay. Real quick.
What the fuck was that?
I had remembered vaguely that the dark passenger was separate entity, but forgot the absolute ludicrousness of this plot. Oh, so the dark passenger is not a fractured personality of a deeply traumatized man, but instead a godly decendent of SOLOMON that goes by the name mlk (not a typo) who is apart of a supernatural cult of killers who have taken it upon themselves to continue mlk's reign. Jeff! What the fuck!
It's the kind of book in a series where you stop and start to wonder if the author actual understands why people like his character. I don't believe Jeff Lindsay does. It's either that, or my standards for this series are too high. Stuck it through for the wedding caterer subplot.
