The universe and this book conspired to make a fool out of me, because I had said on PB that I don't cry easily at books—yet there I was, only the day after saying that, getting teary-eyed at the last quarter of Hello Sunshine. Its high average rating on here feels so deserved!! The author's note at the end clarifying the book's themes and intentions was incredibly touching, as it's clearly a highly personal topic for them, yet it also felt almost unnecessary in a way because it all absolutely shone through in the story itself. So much thought and care clearly went into this graphic novel!
The art is also superb. No notes. (One side note though: I loved reading a physical copy of this and having an ominously dark section of pages awaiting me about 2/3 into the book lol)
The slightly lower character and plot ratings are only because I wish there was room to explore certain characters more, and re:plot there was a part that felt a little contrived or at least maybe could have been clearer because I was still confused pages after. Otherwise the book was absolutely incredible and it's still amazing what the author was able to do with fleshing out this many characters in a one-off graphic novel.

Yesss! I'm so grateful to the PB Queer Horror quest which is what put this on my radar. I hope you also enjoy reading it!
