an overdue review!
an exceptional follow up to an already amazing beginning to the series. very much enjoyed how weāre slowly expanding the universe and gaining more insights from each character that we werenāt privy to with the young fitz. at times, a difficult read because of the horny teenage angst and weakly written relationship with the girlfriend but not enough for me to stop powering through. yet again, fitz faces more trauma to scar him for life, i only hope he has happiness in his future š

Has anyone been involved in a successful bookclub/buddy read before that can offer any advice? I've started a dark academia book club way back when but it sorta fell apart because of lack of engagement. I love the laidback and perpetual book club vibe that PB forums offer but I wouldn't mind finding friends to get to know, dig in a book together, do casual literary analysis and other nerdy things.
If anyone is interested I'm thinking of any of the following for a buddy read: The Count of Monte Cristo Anna Karenina The Master and Margarita Middlesex but I'm up for discussion for anything! š

I really didnāt think the challenges or the badges or streaks would make me WANT to read but it really pushes me!!

I was aiming to finish this before the end of the day, but Iām one hour off unfortunately.
I am so floored by this book. The yearning? Slow burn? Character development? Chefs kiss, all of it. Iām sure Iāll have more to say after I sleep, but the amount of times I had to stop because of Mr. Darcy being so so down bad for Lizzy and loving her with the UTMOST respect, I cannot fathom a man being this way, but it was perfect and I now understand the hype of Mr. Darcy. I have been successfully converted š
