  • Longest audiobooks (or series) you've listened to🤯 (give me numbers😎)

Hello and happy friday my fellow boundlings 🌿🌻

As I know, many of us are avid audiobook listeners. Some love speeding things up, some love to slow things down and some love original 1.0 speed (count me in the last category 🙂‍↕️).

Currently I'm enthralled by the Farseer trilogy in Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings (as all of my mutuals probably know due to me telling everyone about it) and I asked my self, "How long will it take me to get through all books in this universe"?

    • Excel ofc provided me with the answer, it takes about 440 hours or 18.2 days, assuming I listen 24/7 (unlikely, I know). It is that long!!🤯

For reference, this universe is not even that long if you compare it to Outlanderby Diana Gabaldon. I've seen these audiobooks (in German, though), around, and the longest book is a whopping 69hrs and 48 minutes?! The whole series combined even overtakes Realm of the Elderlings by almost 50 hrs!

I have no idea how people manage to get through audiobooks that long or if the length has some reasoning behing it - and if the English version is at least a bit shorter? So many questions...

Hence, I'd be super interested to hear what's everyone elses longest book or series they listened to! Why was it so long? Can you justify it being that long? Would you read it again? Do you even like books that are that long👀?

I, personally, love long audiobooks as long as they are well-written and well-narrated, but I have never tried out an audiobook over 40hrs so that seems for sure like a big challenge!

The sheer insane length of those series is very fascinating to me, and I bow down to anyone who has read them. That is for sure an achievement!
