Post from the When We Had Forever forum
The “before” chapters are killing me. I don’t care about them at all, especially after very quickly figuring out the twist. Just give me all the present moments, please.

A new favorite holiday romance 🥹🐾🍿🎄❤️🩹 I wasn’t expecting to cry reading a romance novel written by a man, yet here I am. 😭😭
PLOT: Two widowers find their second chance at love while binge-watching iconic holiday movies.
This book had me laughing one minute and crying the next. I wasn’t expecting to cry over a knock-knock joke but I did. 😭
Despite grief being a main topic in this book, it was surprisingly light and funny, but don’t discount the vulnerable and emotional moments that grip you so hard—I can guarantee you they won’t let go. ❤️🩹
I expected this to be a story that heavily relied on binging holiday movies, but my gosh, there’s so much more: 💞 single mom with two adorable kids 🐾 a mini chaotic dog named Harry Styles 🥹 strangers to friends to lovers 🍿 classic holiday movies watch parties ❤️🩹 healing from grief 🤭 getting mommed 🎨 endearing friendship between the mmc and the kids ❤️🔥 the slowest of slow burns 🏠 loving, supportive, slightly meddlesome family 😅 inappropriate jokes to cope with grief 👏🏽 funny and relatable one liners like this one: “I’m a liberal American woman, Henry! I’m fueled by rage!”
It truly is a beautiful, thought-provoking, holiday romance book! Now I need to binge every book this author has written.
Absolutely nothing bad to say about this book. Everything about it was beautiful.
I received a finished copy for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I’m dead 🤣 But I agree with her
“How are you so fast? Your legs are half as long as mine!” “I’m a liberal American woman, Henry! I’m fueled by rage!”

The very first line of my current read had me chuckling:
On the first day of December, the universe gave to me—a busted knee, a twisted string of garland, and a cat with an attitude problem.
