"Isn't that the crux of this entire thing? That the one woman in the world I should want nothing to do with, I can't get out of my head."
• I was grinning like the Cheshire Cat while reading! • Addicting story with thrilling banter! • Intriguing rival families • Cowboy romance, single dad, secret romance, oh my!
I don't know where my actual review for this book went. I had written it down in my notes and now it's not there, so you're getting short and precise bullet points from my Instagram post.

4.5 ⭐️ I had such a blast with this book. I knew it was going to be good when the dedication said, “This one’s for me.” When authors write a story for themselves, it always slaps, and Yes, Chef is no exception.
Jack had me by the throat from one of his first interactions with Poppy. The spice and the romance in this book will have you on your knees! The little things that Jack would say and do… 🫠🥵
This story also deals with some serious topics, such as abandonment, loneliness, guilt—I felt every single emotion Jack and Poppy were respectively feeling.
I LOVED all the behind-the-scenes that Jack and Poppy took is through to building a restaurant business—what goes into putting together with recipes, crafting a menu, the art behind cooking. These scenes might’ve been some of my favorites of the book.
The side-characters turned found family were so loveable and supportive, which is exactly what Jack needed!
From the story to the characters to the setting, this book shined in all of them.
• grumpy chef x sunshine influencer • forced proximity • roommates • he teaches her how to cook • hate to friends with benefits • found family • adhd rep
