I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this book, but it certainly wasn’t how heavily I would relate to Darcy. 😭 This book had me in tears! It gripped my heart and had me in a ball of emotions. ❤️‍🩹

Beautiful writing. Relatable and profound characters. Charming and magical small town. Zero notes for this book!

4.75 ⭐️ This book does not suffer from sequel syndrome at all. WOW! How was this even better than the first book, when Half City was already amazing to begin with?

From the moment this book starts, it’s basically go-go-go until the very end. More characters get introduced, the plot expands, more mysteries to uncover, more answers, more questions, a new love interest THAT I AM SO DOWN BAD FOR!

More betrayals, more tension, an even better enemies-to-lovers than the first book (I AM FERAL OVER IT!) I should’ve known when Viv said in Half City, “I had nowhere else to go.”

It’s action-packed, fast-paced, a whirlwind—I couldn’t get enough! I can’t wait for the third book, which I’m sure is going to be a banger of a conclusion.

An instant 2026 favorite for me.
