This was a lovely story of love and the beauty of being human. I loved seeing how each character grew to care so deeply for the others. This is definitely a good gateway sci-fi for people who don't read sci-fi.

I read this one with my 9 year old daughter. She really enjoyed it. There was some bullying, negative self-talk, and body shame - this led to some reflective discussions. I was alright overall.

This was certainly interesting, and tongue-in-cheek funny. It was not really my cup of tea, but I did enjoy the overall story.

I'm generally not a big fan of literary fiction, but this one ended up pleasantly surprising me. I loved getting to know this family, with all of its complexity. I just wish people would talk to each other!!

I have been a big fan of the tv show, and wanted to see what the book was like. I was delighted to find that the tone of the book matches the tone of the show, and that they took a vast majority of James Herriot’s writing and translated it directly. Charming and delightfully funny, just like the show ❤️

Such an interesting and intriguing concept for a story! I loved that Ophelia grew so much from the beginning of the novel. The competition being based on the deadly sins was so creative. And Blackwell 😍🔥

This was a book I read with my 9 year old daughter, and she seemed to really like it. I found the endless details of farming and how to make various farm equipment a little tedious. I wished there were more scenes with his siblings and friends. Still very well written though.
