Do you guys read super in depth reviews before reading a book or midway? Sometimes i don’t want my personal opinion to be altered too much by heavily detailed reviews so i’ll avoid it. But other times im either loving or hating a book so much i just have to see what other people are saying (spoiler free ofc) What are you guys thoughts? I always read quite a few basic reviews of books so i know im not wasting my money. But im more so asking about the lengthy more in depth ones.

I’ve never jumped on the sequel of book so fast after reading the 1st one. This was an enjoyable read for sure. I love how there is more character development especially for donut but carl as well. Honestly even mordecai (hoping this relationship continues even beyond the 4th floor) it’s still a fun litrpg but this book definitely upped the playing cards for carl it seems especially as he’s learning more about how the games work. Points only dipped on quality because i felt the pacing of the quests was a bit off! i do enjoy the fact that he added quests though and i’m curious to see the storyline confine w signet. will be reading book 3 this month too!

always wanted to read this as my grandmother had it on her shelf. never had the slightest idea what it was about but seeing as she was a religious woman i was surprised to find out what it was about. but i loved it, even as an atheist :) whites characters mentality is grim but intriguing. i also find the conviction of blacks testimony very powerful. i actually appreciate the openness of the ending.

Never read a litrpg book before and i lovedddd this one. it’s hilarious and as a video game lover the concept is great. wish there just a bitttt more characterization of carl at the beginning as there’s something totally crazy going on and he seems very nonchalant about. such a fun read and princess donut makes this a 5/5 on her own. lots of class systems and governments but i feel they’re portrayed in a way that’s it’s clear you don’t have to remember every entities name or role the first time you see it because further explanation is coming. very excited to read book 2, i flew through this one in 3 days!
