The vibes were definitely vibing but I don't think this is a new favourite, personally. I see why people love it though.

What is one popular book you've read and didn't like, where you didn't get the hype or don't understand how many people can genuinely like it? I'll go first : Le Petit Prince I've never understood how everyone loved the book, as a kid I was forced to read it every year and go to see plays about it and until today I don't understand the hype.

Bless Thomil for wanting Sciona to go along with whatever the mages tell her but I just absolutely hate how much of a pedestal she has put the ministry on. Her naivety is making it really hard for me to want to pick this book back up and keep reading. I honestly don’t know how this will end and that’s the only reason I haven’t DNF’d.

I'm curious. I'm reading the book in Italian and when Theo speaks, he uses neutral, femela and male pronouns. Is this the original, or does Theo use only they/them?

When I was younger, the book's POV didn't really matter to me, but now I only want to read 3rd person! Which one do you guys prefer? Third POV allows me to isolate myself from the character, as I think the characters are complex and unexpected. I can make conclusions based on their actions/behaviors. But I get that third POV can be confusing with which individual is speaking or doing LOL.

A collection of the pilot books for popular series, for those of us who love to follow a character's journey for as long as an author will let us! Some of the below series have heavily debated starting points and book read orders--in those cases the pilot was selected based on what seems to be the most popular approach.

I enjoyed this spin on the brides of Dracula. My only real criticism is that, for a story spanning centuries, the characters don’t have that much of an arc or evolution.
