French Literature Final Boss
=== Stable! ===
Based on my original post on having quests for French Literature, I made starter packs (check my profile 👀) but I'm thinking we just need a big dump! Thanks to everyone participating!
This list covers books across time by French authors (as in people that have the nationality no matter their origins) and can hopefully incentivize crossovers with the Francophonie mon amour list!
Check comments to see how I diversified the list!
Niche Classics
Overlooked, lesser known classics from all over the world and of many genres.
This list also exists as a book club on Fable under the same name.
French Classics Starter Pack II
Based on my original post on having quests for French Literature! Thanks to everyone that participated in the discussion and helped me put these together!
This list covers books published between the 12th and the 19th centuries. See comments for more info on the methodology I used!

Hella long and old French Literature
As said in the name, this is a list to long (a bit boring) and old french literature that I would consider good books (because frenchies don't lack of those )
This is a list of books from the XIX c. (and before). Some books are just 150 pages long because they are plays
(Feel free to tell me if you want me to add books to the list, I will be adding some myself as I can't think about every book right now...)
to feel like a french countryside kid
books to discover the french and swiss countrysides.
some are classical children books you may already know. the others books were written by authors who grew up in the countryside and share their views.
some of the books were not written originally in french and some do not have english translation. i would recommend reading them in their original language if possible.
Myths and Legends and Fairy Tales, Oh My!
Don't forget about the fables and cautionary tales. The cornerstones of literature.
