French Classics Starter Pack II
Based on my original post on having quests for French Literature, here is the scond list of a series to remediate it :) Thanks to everyone that participated in the discussion and helped me put these together!
This list covers books published from the 12th to the 19th centuries. See comments for more info on the methodology I used!

While curating the lists, here is what I considered:
- Each book must be available in English and have a 1:1 correspondence to the original piece (no compilation editions)
- A defined time period from 12th to 19th century (20th century books are handled in a separate quest for modern classics)
- Authors of French Nationality only (Francophonie quest to come!) and no repeat in a list
- Diversity in the list as in time period, author gender and type of piece (play, novel, poem, essay,...)
- Level of general interest, so for prolific authors I prioritized books that were already in another quest and/or had a lot of readers
