Röta (Korpringarna, #2)

Siri Pettersen

Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

It was maybe even more amazing than the first one. the story is much more than simple fantasy. there are many layers, and it is so well written. I can't really think of anything that I disliked. maybe the outcome for hirka and rime, but actually it was the only thing that could happen. it was interesting to see what they made of the human world, and made me stop and think about what is normal, what we accept, and what we are.
there are many similarities with his dark materials, and I loved those books as well so I am just happy that there is another writer seeing fantasy in another light, with moral and ethical consequences that are spread over everything, and that happy is not the reason the world goes on, and many times we have to make had choices that would not make us happy. it is not a glitter world, and the good and bad are not separate but everything lives within us. who is right is not always easy to know as well and it differs depending from which direction we are looking. it is not a story like many others, it is not an easy story, but it is so much more fulfilling to read and question everything than read something else and have no questions.
