Nothing could have prepared me for this ending, which is a compliment.
Maybe I’m too desensitized (I am), but I honestly think the author could’ve taken the gore further. The ending was hard to picture because few details were given to explain how that *experience* actually physically worked. I think with more concrete details it could’ve made the reader have a visceral reaction, rather than just “whoa that’s insane.”
Still a very unique concept that was well-executed. I think the length of the book was also a strength, I flew through it easily.
I just don't get it? Maybe it's because it's translated but the prose seemed raw and bland to me, and the story is confusing and unfocused. Also any time there's an incest plot, no matter how soft-core or borderline it is, it's just an instant no-thank-you from me.
i had recently read somewhere that translations could never fully do justice to the original work and i suppose thats true while reading this book.
This book was...in simpler and shorted words, complex and heavy. It was interesting but traumatizing. I completely hated natsuki's family, her mother and sister, her dad for being a silent freak yelling. The end of the book is kind of confusing but oh well
absolutely insane
