I'm a little sad to be finished with this series.

The Last Olympian wrapped everything up from the rest of the other books. Mostly. There were some things I wasn't a huge fan of, and other things that I definitely did not see coming in the end.

Percy and his friends have to save Olympus from Typhon, and I think they do an excellent job. I somewhat wish that Typhon wasn't defeated immediately by Poseidon and Co., just because there had been this huge buildup of how scary he was and what he was going to do to New York. It seemed as if the fight ended immediately. I also felt like Poseidon fighting the demon downstairs took much too long and I know that has to do with plot but UGH just listen to Percy, he's done a lot of things right so far.

Annabeth is indestructible. Did she take a dip in the Styx?

    I know that's mean. Whatever I don't care.

I love Grover. I wanted even MORE Tyson. I loved that in the end he gets huge and fights off Typhon with his "daddy" which, in this case, is super aw instead of super disgusting like in Across the Universe (don't read this book).

All the deaths were necessary. I'm sad about Ethan Nakamura - HOWEVER his death was super important because it basically gave Percy his wish for the gods.

I think my favorite death was Silena, not only because she was the spy, but because it was meaningful. She pretended to be Clarisse and lead the Ares campers into the fray. And now she gets to be with Beckendorf. Thanks Mr. Riordan.

I don't think I understood the title of the book. I actually asked a student to clarify that Hestia was the Last Olympian - but again, how is that like the major focus of the book? I guess I am missing something. I know she gave up her seat, but in doing that, does that mean that the Olympians will never fail because she technically is an Olympian? I should probably look this up.

Percy x Annabeth. We all saw it coming.

ESPECIALLY RACHEL I knew she was going to play a major role in the end. I wonder if she does come back in the other series.

I'm honestly really glad I was coerced into reading this series. Thank you younger people than me!

I really do want to read the Heroes of Olympus series as well. Mostly because I really want to read Magnus Chase like cray
