Spinoffs Galore!
A list for books based on the works of other writers (or: authors copying each otherโs homework ๐โโ๏ธ). Suggestions welcome!

Austen Inspired
Books that adapt, retell, and pull inspiration from Jane Austen's works.

Now That's What I Call an Austen Adaptation!
Why do we rewatch the 1995 and 2005 adaptations of Pride and Prejudice over and over again? Because it's a timeless story of love! So iconic are Austen's six novels that you can plop the characters and plot shapes in different times, countries, and planets, and you'll still feel the original at its core. This list is book adaptations (published fanfiction) of all six of Austen's novels. The character names don't have to match exactly, but we should know which book it's riffing off from.

okay first things first Iโll eat ya brains
forever chasing the high of the first three seasons of The Walking Dead ๐ญ books featuring zombies & the zombie apocalypse.
psa: I do not agree with Nicki minajโs political views
as always, taking suggestions!

What Happened to Your Face?!
A tribute to a type of cover, originally deemed Girls with Fucked Up Faces, that never fails to grab my attention. Not all of these are books Iโve enjoyed or endorse or even read, itโs just all about the covers.

Great expectationsโฆor not
Subverting expectations and getting meta in the genre sandbox! Books that play with genre, subvert the traditional, switch things up with language and form, offer a new angle for a retelling, or mash and mix things up before spitting out a brand new tale. Includes works that are mainstream now but were considered a subversion of the familiar in the time period in which they were published. Suggestions always welcome!

Zombie Apocs - But Not US-Centric
Much of the Zombie genre is set in the US. This list collates zombie fiction from all over the world. Different people groups. Different mindsets. Different access to weapons & attitudes towards those weapons. A different focus on how to survive The End
Sister list to: The End of the World & After - But Not US-Centric
Fictional settings allowed. Books may cross borders, spending time in the US. Allowance made for US indigenous authors
First of a series only
Suggestions so welcome!

if books were a season: fall edition
books iโve read (and liked) that made me feel the cozy calm (or dark grit) of fall
no rhyme or reason, just โจvibesโจ
**iโm including some cozy fantasy/spooky season/fall-occurring books, but this list is also meant to expand beyond those limited sub-genres to include books i think would hit different if read during fall or majorly incorporate elements i associate w fall like mountains/forests, adventures, murder, small towns, seasons of change/hardship, grittiness, dark academia, pirates, etc
