i'm so glad haha, I'm literally thinking about making a spreadsheet to keep track of which books/authors have the most spinoff titles on the list LOL
i love a list with explanatory notes 👏
Suggesting Wide Sargasso Sea (Jane Eyre) and Hungerstone (Carmilla)!

adding these asap! Thanks so much!
omg what a fun list!!! definitely have to check out some of these!!

:D Im glad you like!!!
Oohh! This is so nice! Would these count:
One for All by Lilie Lainoff / The Three Musketeers Katabasis by R.F. Kuang / The Divine Comedy The Salt Grows Heavy by Cassandra Khaw / The Little Mermaid An Education in Malice by S.T. Gibson / Carmilla Salt & Broom by Sharon Lynn Fisher / Jane Eyre
Ouuu, I’ve seen The Salt Grows Heavy cover a lot but didn’t know it was Little Mermaid related, here I go 🏃♀️➡️
It took The Little Mermaid and subverted it. It's really dark but written beautifully 😊

thank you so much for the suggestions!! adding them all!
Apart from Hungerstone, which has been mentioned, may I suggest The Cockroach by Ian McEwan which is a spinoff of The Metamorphosis by Kafka!

Ooooh thank you - added!
omg i dont have enough years in my life to get to all these amazing lists 😭😭😆

it's based off of the poem "the goblin market" by Christina Rossetti! I'm so sorry lol I went to look this up and completely forgot to get back to you the other day, goldfish brain things
