It's official, all Russian authors have a grim outlook on life and death, and it doesn't get as depressing as a man slowly dying.
The story is a poignant take on life, society and a look on a broken marriage. Although Ivan seems like the man that had it all, his life is unfulfilling and no matter how much he makes or gains, nothing will change that feeling.
Lesson of this book: Do the things you love before is to late.
Pretty good book, I will definitely read more from Tolstoy.
