Recs if you like Monday's Not Coming...
Not like other title text!
Book covers with typography oriented in non-standard alignments, instead of the typical horizontal + left to right text alignment. Or: graphic design is my passion, and today we are learning about text paths ๐โโ๏ธ. This is an immensely silly List, and always open to suggestionsโvertical text, circular, upside down, anything goes!
Teenage Sleuth Chronicles, Girls edition
Inspired by theaisreading and my love for teenage detectives and crime stories, I need a list which collects them all. Whether itโs missing secrets or suspicious suspects, these young, sometimes unintentional, detectives are always one step ahead and rarely play by the rules. From cozy to high stake. We don't judge. Feel free to recommend books I've missed and you like!
๐ฅDope Black Fiction 4 All๐ฅ

The Big List of Banned or Censored Books
A list of Banned or Censored books (from around the world) that I want to read and form my own opinions about...
Graphic Design Diarrhea-Free Covers
Do you, like me, often find yourself looking at a book cover thinking, "Y'all are doing waaay too much." Why are book covers so dang extra nowadays? Here are some books that appeal to me simply because they have covers that don't look like a 19 year old with Photoshop barfed a bunch of design elements on a book and called it a day. Some I've read, some are on the TBR. And to all the authors and publishers out there, K.I.S.S.
AfricanAmerican Fiction
Thrillers that actually have different plots ๐
If youโre here, like me you might be tired of basically seeing the same plots and storylines over and over. This is a list of ones Iโve enjoyed that are all (mostly) different from each other*. Main thing in common might be the author.
*Canโt guarantee there arenโt similar types of twists/reveals lol.
Stories That Gaslight You โฝ๏ธ
A curated collection of stories told through cracks, mirrors, and shifting truths. These narrators bend memory, distort reality, and reshape the world to fit their own needs. Some lie with intention, others with fear, and some simply because the truth is too heavy to hold. These are the books that linger. The ones that make you question what you know. The ones you leave and donโt really know what just happened.
On D.C.: A Reading List
These are some books to better understand the people and culture of our nationโs capital. Washingtonians are so much more than the harmful stereotypes the media perpetuates. If you have any suggestions, whether fiction or nonfiction, please leave a comment!

Do not trust what anyone says. Not even me.
Have you ever read a story and realized some things didn't add up?
Perhaps your narrator has a distorted reality due to trauma or mental illness?
Maybe your narrator omits certain things to paint a different picture?
Possibly your narrator doesn't understand key things, and it leads to varying meanings?
Well, if you enjoy stories like that, you're in luck, because here are some of the best stories with unreliable narrators.
acid books

Thrillers I canโt shut up about
Thrillers & mysteries that will keep you guessing until the end

Intro to Upmarket Fiction
aka. Book Club Fiction
An industry buzzword term that literary agents are reportedly increasingly requesting - but most people don't realize that the books they're reading or writing fit the description.
Books that meld the best of both worlds of commercial fiction and literary fiction. These works are character-driven, possess a good hook, has quality but accessible writing, a widely connectable theme, and is written with the aim of thoughtful discussion. They're often ideal for book clubs.
