Recs if you like Mercy (A gay gothic angel romance)...

Works in the speculative, fantasy, science fiction, and horror genres by authors who are not cisgender! Two spirit, nonbinary, trans, genderfluid, and other gender diverse authors count!

Please let me know if there are any I should add.

Romantasy and romantic/erotic fantasy reads starring queer characters! (Recs are welcome, but I'd like to encourage uplifting queer authors first and foremost! For series, I'll just put book 1 unless they can be read as standalones!)

Queer books that deal in one way or another with Christianity. Angels, demons, churches, religious trauma - it's all in here! Many stories lean horror and/or erotic 🔞

Recommendations welcome!

✦ I have not read all of these books - if you notice anything that seems to be mis-labeled/mis-placed on this list, please let me know! ✦

Of course, this isn't the only recommendation list out there for the Trans Rights Readathon. I encourage everyone to check out all the different lists! This list is made up of books I've personally enjoyed, am currently reading, or plan to read (so this is pretty tailored, lol). I'll keep editing this list as I finish books and find more books I want to read. Everything here is either written by a trans author and/or features trans main characters/focuses on trans issues.

I love reading indie sci-fi and fantasy and think more people should too! This is a list of some of my favorite indie books and some that I am looking forward to reading.
