I love this list! Thank you for creating it <3 Conclave by Robert Harris might fit this list as well? Trying not to spoil too much haha, one of the subplots is the intersexuality of a cardinal and there's just so much gay yearning between him and the main character OMFG (It's just not that obvious in the book, the movie shows a lot more of that in my opinion)
