Everything you thought you knew about witches is wrong. They are much darker, and they are much more horrifying. Wytches takes the mythology of witches to a far creepier, bone-chilling place than readers have dared venture before. When the Rooks family moves to the remote town of Litchfield, NH to escape a haunting trauma, they're hopeful about starting over. But something evil is waiting for them in the woods just beyond town. Watching from the trees. Ancient...and hungry. Collecting: Wytches 1-6

Really liked this scary story, there was an innate horror and the art was fantastic!
Did feel like the first issue/some early story elements were lost later, like the deer that showed up and died randomly in the house?? And the lump, which some art sort of implied could be and eye, that I know the old crone lady said it was there to lead her to the forest, but I felt like that suddenly disappeared.
Also, the crone was in the story for too short a time, she info dumped to the dad, and I wanted more explanation and some of her story, this could have been a good way to inject even more psychological horror.
Sailor seemed to think that the thing that bit her was the bully who had been taken, transformed into one of them (and the art is unclear, it sort of looks like it has long hair and white clothes...) but then later it seems like the wytches are a completely different race and that the humans taken are only food.
