Recs if you like The Elegance of the Hedgehog...

books whose main characters are older and disillusioned with life and go on a little adventure that melts their hearts (and heals yours)

Books don't just sit on shelves and these novels show it. Each one is its own love letter to the importance of stories in every corner of human life, built on the belief that the right book, in the right hands, at the right moment, can change the entire shape of a life. (Always taking recommendations!)

I think more books should be about old people getting into shenanigans. There is this small part of the book space with the stories of people who find the meaning of their life or mess others up because they don't care anymore. These are their stories , hilarious, emotional, heartwarming and heartbreaking, each unique...

Hope they make you feel alive!

All genres, no teenagers or early 20s heroines. Open to suggestions because we need to read about women of all ages and walks of life.

The ultimate bookish read!

Because we all feel love across the world and we should read beyond our language

Mostly books with characters that gave vibes of being on the spectrum- as someone in it myself. (Some are canon diagnosed)

Foreign literature

Books mentioned in Welcome to Hyunam-dong's Bookshop (adding as I go)

Others not here:

• Escort of Light 빛의 호위 (Cho Haejin)
• Too Bright Outside for Love (Kim Keumhee)
• A Standing Woman (Park Wan-Suh)

Every daggone book out there is "special" these days 🙄 but I need these, publishing houses! NEED!

(note - for series I've only included the first book)
