This list is a community project, I asked in the club and received multiple suggestions which I then added onto a list: fiction and nonfiction, fantasy, contemporary, sci-fi, the main theme is just hope. Some people said their recommendation might not fit very well but I added it anyways.

Also, in the og post, I mentioned The Good Place and if people have recommendations tending to that, so some books are related to that.

in honor of disability pride month, here is a series on the colours of the flag! the fourth colour on the flag is yellow/gold, which represents the disabilities on the neurodivergent spectrum, cognitive and intellectual disabilities. examples of these are ADHD, autism, tourettes, dyspraxia, dyslexia, OCD, down syndrome, epilepsy and way more. books within this list will be fiction and non-fiction. as always, feel free to recommend books which you feel should be added to this list.

If we are going to do Qwordy's the Hardest Reading Challenge You'll Ever Do 3.0 - we should probably get some Pagebound badges along the way! Books in this list are in at least two quests. Thus helping to earn more badges. Books will span different genres. Once I scan through all the quests, I plan to further organize the list. I am thinking of creating a seperate list and moving the books with three or more quests to the new list and keeping the two badge books in this list. Are there other ways you would organize a list this big?

This list includes books featuring neurodivergent “coded” characters that were either written before neurodivergence was understood or take place in fantasy worlds where it might not be described in the same way. Historical fiction also welcome!

This list is open for recommendations! Please focus on stories whose characters are not explicitly neurodivergent for one of the above reasons. Most of these books were recommended by readers on Pagebound, and thus I have not read them all.
