Recs if you like The World Without Us...

A collection of non-fiction books that touch upon the stories of the natural world, and all the people who live among it. (Or, as an astronomer once said: "I love stories, and the story of our universe is the grandest one we have") Always open to suggestions!

For when you want something more ominous, macabre, or mysterious in taste that also centers on a deeply specific subject. Ranging from the occult to the supernatural to just plain weird and interesting. Expand your knowledge by reading these narrow glimpses into the past.

There will be a time after big tech

Books about how nature endures and carries traces of us. These stories explore our connection to the natural world through decay, memory, and renewal.

Exploring the edgelands and (humanly) abandoned places where nature steps in, starts healing, and other lives take sanctuary.

I haven't read all of these, so this list is subject to change. Recommendations welcome.

Books focusing on climate change, sustainability, and environmental topics

I’m writing a book where something similar to the rapture happens, so I want to read more books with that concept! Most of these I haven’t read yet, but they popped up when I was googling the subject!

This will include fiction, sci-fi, fantasy, dystopia, and general apocalypse type books. Anything involving a huge amount of people suddenly vanishing and those left behind have to survive.

Please let me know if you have recommendations, especially books where aliens are disappearing people!
