I'm specifically going to be adding books from Quests and readalongs that go past the July start date and match at least one of these title prompts: Periodic Table, Familial Terms, Rainbow of Words (also Joseph's coat), Numerical Titles, Titular Counting 5+, Pun in the Title, and First & Last Name in the Title. i'm on an absolute murder mystery KICK at the moment. having watched the new knives out twice already (mild spoilers ahead) i've been thinking about the subgenre of locked room murder mysteries and decided to compile a list of them!

definition: a locked room mystery involves a seemingly "impossible crime". in these, the murder is committed under circumstances where it appears impossible for the killer to enter and leave the room undetected. and yet it IS possible!

You've read the big names like Murder on the Orient Express or And Then There Were None...are you ready for the rest? This list is specifically only Agatha Christie's novels and short stories in publication order (starting at the top of list so you can easily follow it down) including the Mary Westmacott non-mystery books.

... You're trapped here with me! The format: A group of people (could be strangers, or long-lost friends) are gathered or trapped in an isolated place together. Maybe it's a remote island. Maybe a cozy cabin during a blizzard. Someone is killed. The killer is obviously among them, but who?!
