Wikipedia Rabbit Holes
Fiction about hyperspecific stuff that'll get you lost in Wikipedia if you're not careful โ the more niche the better. Suggestions welcome, but to make the cut, there MUST be a corresponding Wikipedia page!! Links in the comments to get you started.

So you want to be an Agatha Christie Completist?
This is for the ultimate Agatha Christie lover. She wrote 66 detective novels, 15 short story collections, 6 romance novels under Mary Westmacott, and published 17 plays on stage. This list does not include any of her unpublished works. Finishing this in completion gives you the ultimate bragging rights.

HRCYED 3.0 x Pagebound Quests (Titles Edition)
If we are going to do Qwordy's the Hardest Reading Challenge You'll Ever Do 3.0 - we should probably get some Pagebound badges along the way! I'm specifically going to be adding books from Quests and readalongs that go past the July start date and match at least one of these title prompts: Periodic Table, Familial Terms, Rainbow of Words (also Joseph's coat), Numerical Titles, Titular Counting 5+, Pun in the Title, and First & Last Name in the Title. Recommendations welcome!

One Book Many Quests
Books in this list are in at least two quests. Thus helping to earn more badges. Books will span different genres. Once I scan through all the quests, I plan to further organize the list. I am thinking of creating a seperate list and moving the books with three or more quests to the new list and keeping the two badge books in this list. Are there other ways you would organize a list this big?

oh no step-detective, i'm stuck!
stuck on an island, snowed in, on a boat, aboard a moving train... this list is crime fiction -mostly murder mysteries- in which the characters are stuck in an isolated location and cut off from the outside.
disclaimer: i haven't read all of these so lmk if a book doesn't fit, and feel free to leave suggestions in the comments!

every single Agatha Christie crime book

Niche Classics
Overlooked, lesser known classics from all over the world and of many genres.
This list also exists as a book club on Fable under the same name.

locked room murder mysteries
i'm on an absolute murder mystery KICK at the moment. having watched the new knives out twice already (mild spoilers ahead) i've been thinking about the subgenre of locked room murder mysteries and decided to compile a list of them!
definition: a locked room mystery involves a seemingly "impossible crime". in these, the murder is committed under circumstances where it appears impossible for the killer to enter and leave the room undetected. and yet it IS possible!

An Education in the Queen of Crime ๐ซ
You've read the big names like Murder on the Orient Express or And Then There Were None...are you ready for the rest? This list is specifically only Agatha Christie's novels and short stories in publication order (starting at the top of list so you can easily follow it down) including the Mary Westmacott non-mystery books.

I'm not trapped here with you...
... You're trapped here with me! The format: A group of people (could be strangers, or long-lost friends) are gathered or trapped in an isolated place together. Maybe it's a remote island. Maybe a cozy cabin during a blizzard. Someone is killed. The killer is obviously among them, but who?! Submissions welcome because this is my favourite mystery sub-genre at the moment, and I can't wait to discover more!

train murder? i hardly know her!
murder mysteries that take place on a train, a la 'murder on the orient express'. it's time to stamp your ticket, order something from the dining cart, and crack some clues. let's hope you make it to your destination!

Tiny Fables
All fiction books that appear in the Tiny Bookshop catalogue! Would sort them by genre as I read along.

Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot Mysteries
A largely comprehensive list of the original Hercule Poirot novels and key short stories.

Locked Room Mysteries - A List of Whodunnits
Inspired by Wake Up Dead Man (the newest Knives Out installment), I decided to make a list of Locked Room Mysteries.
Compiled based on personal interests and various blogs.

๐ Book to movie adaptations ๐ฅ
Books that were adapted into movies (not tv shows). Let's make this list as long as possible!
(going to only add the first book in a series)

couldn't have happened to a nicer guy (or gal)
mysteries and thrillers in which the victim high-key sucks. rest in pieces, shitheads! love to hate 'em, we will not miss them. disclaimer: while the list creator is a certified hater, in no way is the list creator or pagebound condoning or encouraging violence, even in situations when that person does, in fact, suck.

It Has To Be One of Them
Closed circle/room mysteries! Limited number of suspects all with motives to kill!

Internet Archive Saves the Day! (And My Wallet)
Inspired to create a list by a post from @mmyth, I thought it would be nice to have a list of quest books you can download and read for free via Internet Archive. Recommendations gladly accepted. Happy reading ya'll!
(Please note this will ONLY contain books found through Internet Archive and no other sources, I don't want to run into possible mistakes and copyright headaches.)
Update: This list will also include books you can borrow through Open Library, a part of Internet Archive.
