Recs if you like The Raven King...

A collection of the finales of some of our favorite series here on PB! If we get a badge for starting these series, we should have something to push us to finish them as well!

Tears may be shed now that the stories are over, but cheers to the accomplishment of completing and loving them✨

your 2016 book blog called it misses you

Some are literary, some are genre, all are lovely queer quests and adventures. Journeys of the psyche and physical hunts. The best stories are about finding… Read and Recommended

Please be mindful when making recommendations: If discrimination appears in the book it must be critiqued within the book, and please don’t rec books with on page SA, death by suicide, or excessive gore.

These books either have a main character or main side character who's important to the plot with deaf and/or hard of hearing rep! 🙉👂🔕 I haven't read all of these, but I have read a good chunk, so I'm always happy to talk with anyone about them & recs are always appreciated! 💜

A mix of different books that all centre around the “dark academia” genre ✨

Books that embody this song. And ideally will break your heart. Comment a book that you think should go on this list!

Edit: y'all why can I only find the spanish version of wild reverence while searching for it for this list???

could you give him an exorcism, maybe?

whether it’s by ghosts, demons, or the devil himself, there is a boy and he is Possessed

Forget everything you know about the golden hour. In these halls, knowledge isn't just power—it's a blood sacrifice, a cursed bargain, or a secret that could tear the stars from the sky. Whether you're navigating the lethal corridors of the Scholomance, deciphering the forbidden linguistics of Oxford’s silver-working, or joining a secret society at Yale that deals in the ghosts of the past, this list is for the scholars who prefer their ink black and their magic dangerous.

the trifecta of books with a group of teens named after a blackbird: all for the game, six of crows and the raven cycle!!!

What it says on the tin. I've heard truly excellent things about all of these, so maybe give them a try if you haven't yet?

Mostly LGBT+

Books with at least one excellent friendship that is core to the novel!

(I decided siblings and friends to lovers don’t count, unless the in the latter one the romance part is SO minor to the plot and the friendship is wayyy more significant.)

Own any translation dictionaries? No? Well, you might want to now.

These books will make you want to keep one by your side, be it for the various Chinese dialects, Latin, Old Welsh, Arabic, and so on that appear as quotes, vocab, or key references ~

I seriously loved The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater and even though I will list this series in here too, sometimes I want to pick something which gives me the same feelings but perhaps in its own shape, way and form.

So lots of found family, (urban) fantasy and a main focus on friendship. So yeah.

Mostly books with characters that gave vibes of being on the spectrum- as someone in it myself. (Some are canon diagnosed)

book series I love that contain found families

They can be haunting, just cute or completely unpredictable but here are some books with ghosts and ghosty elements

All the witchy books I can think of, be it in German or English. This is an ongoing list 🙈
