Recs if you like The Impossible Garden of Clara Thorne...

every struggled to find actual lesbian/sapphic books when at the library or bookstore? so did I!

bc of said struggle, I started to curate a personal list of books that either has lesbian MCs and/or featured a primary sapphic romance.

i haven't read all of these, but I do try my diligence in confirming that they meet the above perimeters, since many books claim to be sapphic when they're not. this is an ever updating list, only fiction for now!

Fiction books featuring plants as a major theme. For the purpose of this list, fungi are honorary plants! All fiction genres here (though I am primarily a fantasy reader, so suggestions most welcome!)

We should all be reading queer, all year, but this list is full of upcoming queer books of all makes and models coming out in 2026. If you have a rec to add, just please keep in mind we’re looking for 2026 releases!

Fantasy books with queer rep

collecting all 2026 releases featuring sapphic romance!!

So many sapphic books are coming out this year, and I’m so excited to read every single one!

Books that remind me of the game Stardew Valley! Coziness, cottage-core, and a hint of magic.

Want to start a life in the cottage, escape from the horror of life and tuck into your corner in the world? Just remember, this could be a cozy corner OR it could be just the opposite of that...

Not a comprehensive list, definitely open to suggestions. I'll try to update this fairly often! This list features a wide variety of genres and representations!

High Fantasy & Low-stakes fantasy

it's a cozy fantasy kind of winter (bonus points if its sapphic)

Books with sapphic* MCs who practice fantasy magic or real witchcraft***. Non-fiction books about witchcraft*** written by and/or about sapphic* folks.

*Nonbinary characters included. All women and femmes included.

**Includes practitioners of spiritual mysticism and healing arts who don’t identify as witches.

***Includes spiritual mysticism and healing that are not categorized as witchcraft.

Romance books with neurodivergent characters. This primarily includes ADHD and autism but I also included some with dyslexia and sensory processing disorder representation as well.

this list features upcoming books that feature sapphic MCs or romance and are releasing in 2026!

I got a request for a list of sapphic fiction/romances with ambiguous covers that wouldn't be flagged by their country's customs and subsequently tossed. Thought I'd post it here, in case it might benefit someone else!
