I absolutely loved this book. I can see why people do not like it but I enjoyed every second of it.

Am I the only one that forgot the main characters are in their late 30s?

I wasn’t sure about this story at the beginning, but I really enjoyed it in the end. Knox was not my favourite MMC, but I really liked the town and  the whole cast of characters.

    Loved it

This book had a little bit of suspense, grumpy/sunshine, awesome best friends, fun banter and a whole lot of heart.

This one has a hero named Knox, he’s a grumpy. He mad at world for reasons and can never love. Heroine is Naomi, she ran from her wedding because bad fiancé, and she has an evil twin. Evil twin has an 11year old kid named Waylay. Knox has a dog named Waylon. Knox is a barber, a bar owner, and won $11 million in a the lottery. Why all these things together? I don’t know.

It’s a small town, it’s a grumpy sunshine, it’s a secret kid, it has best friends and grandmas and quirky towns folks. Grumpy doesn’t WANT to want sunshine, but he does anyway, then does the “breakup for your own good” thing.

this was so easily five stars, i didn’t even know how to review it and do it justice!! love love loved knox and naomi (even though this book made me sob) and the major found family aspect really added to this. also - the nicknames were everything!!

“There’s a difference between taking care of someone because you love them and taking care of someone because you want them to love you.”

This story was so sweet and I loved every second I spent reading it. Tbh it had been sitting on my TBR for so long because the length of it seriously intimidated me, but the second I started reading it I could not put it down!!

Naomi Witt finds herself in a new town after the worst day of her life, and it just keeps getting worse from there. Her evil twin sister steals her car and money and abandons her with a niece that Noami had no idea even existed. She has to navigate this new life of hers - in a new town, suddenly a guardian, handling a new job and a smoking hot Viking *wink wink* - and deal with the dumpster fire that her sister left behind.

The only reason I gave this book 4 stars instead of 5 is because the ending really didn't feel like it was part of this book. It was action packed and just did not fit the vibes of the entire book, and it just felt very thrown together. I know the book was already pretty long, but I would have preferred to have an even longer book for a better ending than this one. But in total I absolutely loved the book!

Aside from that I think I learned that I love to read books about people in their late 20's/30's? I thoroughly enjoyed the serious adult issues that this book highlighted because I felt like I could actually relate more to this than YA books I've read recently. We love growth!! <3

I feel like this book was unnecessarily long but at the same time, all the moments and scenes felt important. though i could gone without endless interventions knox got about him leaving naomi.

overall, it was a nice and fun read
