Reading suggestions for the Trans Rights Readathon! (Any year of course). Books with trans characters of any label (or any non-cis gender identity) by trans/non-cis authors. I have not read all the books in this list. Feel free to name your fave books by trans authors in the comments!

Short story, essays, comics, and/or poetry collections focusing on queer and trans folks. Please note: there are some collections listed where not every story is queer, but there is intersectionality, and since that is important, I have included them.

Sometimes a simple poem can say it all. If you’re feeling angry, introspective, emotional, need a laugh, or just want a good quote, a poem can be a good place to turn to for quick validation. This is a list of some of my favorites from my collection that I’ve really enjoyed. It’s by no means exhaustive and runs the gamut of fun to melancholy.
