Expect hedgewitches and apothecaries, sentient woods and green men, tea alchemists, orchard bargains and kitchen gardens that meddle in human affairs. The tone ranges from cozy cottagecore to gently thorny fairytales sprinkled in. If you crave stories that smell like rain on soil and sound like wind in leaves, start here!

Fiction featuring sisters, because sisters are the best. (Note that not all sister relationships are easy, they are complex and layered and sometimes difficult.)

fantasy novels where curses play a role, whether it be a cursed person, object, or place! recs always welcome!

Want to get into fantasy but never read/only read a bit and don't want to read anything too complex? These books and series have light worldbuilding, magic systems, and are overall good introductions to those new to fantasy. The majority of these are more YA due to the nature of entry-level fantasy

So, you like your fantasy with a historical-ish setting; perhaps even a dash of gothic yearning here and there. I've got you bestie.

Find these reads among the swirls of snow dust between dense evergreens trees, under the bright moonlight scattering across a frozen forest, and at the hearth of a warm cottage, providing shelter through a quiet blizzard. These are magical and often folklore-inspired stories for those long winter days.

Fairy tale Retelling ranging from YA to Adult (will be updating as I come across them)

When done well, arranged marriage stories can be gorgeous, transcending, good shit.

I have read and enjoyed all of these books.

A collection of recommendations for the stories of couples who basically meet at the altar and then have to figure each other out after they’re already married. Sometimes reluctant, sometimes secretly pining, sometimes fully in denial, always a little tense

Slow burn, emotional intimacy, shared beds with stranger energy 😌 (hopefully not stranger danger energy)

Made from all your amazing recs, and very much open for more 📚✨
