Recs if you like Happy Fat: Taking Up Space in a World That Wants to Shrink You...

Nonfiction books about fatness—through a lens of activism, liberation, and acceptance. Body diversity is a beautiful and natural thing and these books honor that truth.

Books that are part memoir part another genre: in a way that blends multiple mediums and/or themes in unique and engaging ways. Magical, explosive and memorable narratives expressed with creativity and depth. Books that inspire me to write more.

“And I said to my body, softly, ‘I want to be your friend.’ It took a long breath. And replied, ‘I have been waiting my whole life for this.'" —Nayyirah Waheed
