my favourite genre, these books are so much fun and more and more are being added all the time If anyone has any questions about any book I will try to help. I have read most of them and have reference books on the history of Japanese crime fiction.

Books set in an Asian or Asian-inspired setting or incorporates elements of an Asian culture or mythology. Only the first book in a series is listed.

i'm on an absolute murder mystery KICK at the moment. having watched the new knives out twice already (mild spoilers ahead) i've been thinking about the subgenre of locked room murder mysteries and decided to compile a list of them!

definition: a locked room mystery involves a seemingly "impossible crime". in these, the murder is committed under circumstances where it appears impossible for the killer to enter and leave the room undetected. and yet it IS possible!

I love finding mysteries that have cutesy names or are so nice and cozy you can just jump in. So I thought I'd add a little small town/cozy character mysteries so they are easy to find
