We should all be reading queer, all year, but this list is full of upcoming queer books of all makes and models coming out in 2026. If you have a rec to add, just please keep in mind we’re looking for 2026 releases!

Books featuring mythology, legends and folklore from England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. (For the purpose of this list 'Ireland' encompasses the entirety of Ireland (Northern & Republic) as the historical mythos is largely the same since the split happened in the 1900's.)

Speculative fiction (fantasy, horror, sci-fi, etc.) about, or prominently featuring, ace characters. This includes demisexual characters and ace-spec characters as well! 🖤🤍💜 corrections & recommendations welcome <3

romance releases i’m looking forward to

Romantasy but for the gays. Fantasy in this list includes: magic, fairies/fae, mythical, mystical, supernatural.

Some of them have romance at the center of the plot, some of them don’t. Either way, you won’t put them down.

(I’m not sure if The Wolf and his King really is a fantasy book since it’s also partly a historical novel and a retelling of a medieval story but I loved it too much to not put it here)
