Recs if you like Bromantasy...

We should all be reading queer, all year, but this list is full of upcoming queer books of all makes and models coming out in 2026. If you have a rec to add, just please keep in mind we’re looking for 2026 releases!

Fantasy books with queer rep

Enjoy reading fantasy but feel stuck in a rut of political intrigue and heavy world building? Take a breather and enjoy the roses in a cozy, whimsical world.

Be the trend setter of your book club or bookish friend group by getting to know the authors of next year’s publication cycle. These books are all by new talent in the publishing world from both the Big 5 and small, traditional publishers.

Be sure to also check out these authors on social media for ARC opportunities, and show these authors some love by requesting a purchase with your local library, or pre-ordering a copy yourself!

Every year we get more and more queer books in more and more diverse genres and I for one would like to roll around in all of them from sheer joy 🙂‍↕️ since I can’t do that here is a list to metaphorically roll around in instead.

Disclaimer: all books had 2026 releases at the time of adding. The publishing industry does change things around though.

Books to binge while we desperately wait for the next season of Bridgerton. You're welcome to comment recs for me to add, but they must have Bridgerton vibes. Priority given to queer and BIPOC books!

Books with varying degrees of fantasy where the main pairing is gay (M/M)

Open to recommendations in the comments 💛

Wanting to read something new in fantasy or romance that isn’t going to make you wait around in agony for a sequel? I’ve got you.

romance releases i’m looking forward to

Shamelessly yoinked from a certain other reading app that shall not be named... this is a list of recently published (2025-2026) LGBTQ+ fiction across a spectrum of genres and identities!

(Disclaimer: I haven't read most of these, but so many compelling covers made me want to save them all in a list to continue referencing into the future.)

the queer romance and fantasy books that are on my tbr (and that i love)

Audiobooks that are less than 10 hours long and are NSFW or have romance elements - from cosy to spicy! Recommendations welcome!

Great reads for the beach, lakeside, poolside, or a picnic in the shade. Summer vacation, summer fun, summer vibes.

This is one of a few lists I'm making to help me organize my ideas for HRCYED 3.0. Feel free to take inspiration or comment with more ideas.
