This book, much like the first, is light on plot overall. It is, in my opinion, a very character driven story. Luckily for me, I like Talia and Kris. They were interesting characters to read about and to watch develop throughout this book.
Most of what happens here is watching Talia learn things about herself and her powers while also learning how to deal with people outside of the Heraldic circle. I still very much love the world and the world building but I do wish there was a bit more plot to the story arc overall.
