(Note on curation: I've been cross checking titles with Internet Broadway Database (IBDB) which is Broadway's official archive)

classic (c)literature

Niche Classics
Overlooked, lesser known classics from all over the world and of many genres.
This list also exists as a book club on Fable under the same name.

The French Revolution
Criteria: notable fiction books, including novels, story collections, plays, etc involving the French Revolution, taking place during the French Revolution, or heavily inspired by the French Revolution. Books do not need to represent events accurately to be on this list. Includes everything from classics to current day works. Centered around 1789 Revolution but notable works regarding later events like the June Rebellion may be included if considered relevant to this list.

Underrated Classics
Books that often get overlooked next to big author names or better known works by those authors.

literary tarot reading list
A reading list that I thought Iโd share consisting of all the books on the Brink Literacy Projectโs tarot deck. Iโm going for completionist and this is here for anyone whoโd like to keep track and do the same, or who wants to read classic literature paired with tarot cards ๐ค
(Apart from the first five, all books are in order, starting with the Major Arcana, and moving Ace to King through the Wands, Cups, Swords, and then Pentacles suit).

Classics by Women

Introduction to classics
I had no idea where to start with reading classics, so these are all the books/tips I received from fellow PB members. I hope these can help other as well

The Books of the Astral Library
The books mentioned or alluded to in The Astral Library by Kate Quinn. If itโs a series, book 1 is listed unless a specific book was mentioned. Where just the author was mentioned, Iโve made my best guess.
Listed books/authors are NOT endorsements. Some authors/series are problematic, but I have chosen not to censor this list with one exception that, if mentioned in the book, shall not be named in this list.

Rainbow of Words
Technically for the HRCYED rainbow challenge and the coat of many colors secret challenge but if you just like your color titles then I hope you find something for you!

Read smart, read free: archive.org hopefuls
Books that can be read on archive.org for free that look interesting - go and search up your tbr, this is only what I want to read so in no way a comprehensive list โบ๏ธ๐ธ If you see this list after clicking on a book, youโll know itโs available on archive.org Disclaimer: Some books are so hard to get tho because they are constantly borrowed

Haycraft-Queen Cornerstones
Called "the definitive library of mystery fiction". Howard Haycraft originally published the list in 1941 in Murder for Pleasure. It was updated and broadened by Ellery Queen. This is the final revision, including books from 1748 to 1952.
These books are historically significant because of their influence on the development of crime fiction, however books from these times often contain bigoted and otherwise offensive content.
I haven't read them all, or even a high percentage. I'm trying to keep track of how many on this list I read.
I could only find a Spanish language version of A Case to Answer by Edgar Lustgarten.

Popular Books Through Time
a collection of four of the most popular books from each of the last twenty decades. I used the goodreads โmost popular books of x decadeโ lists to find these. I tried to incorporate a mix of genres, so these arenโt strictly The most popular books in each decade, but a selection from the most popular the list may have removed the chronological order from these, but I have a shelf where everything is in order if youโd like to see it that way!

My Book Mug
All the books that were listed on my female writers mug ๏ฟผ
