All things wild and wonderful
A collection of non-fiction books that touch upon the stories of the natural world, and all the people who live among it. (Or, as an astronomer once said: "I love stories, and the story of our universe is the grandest one we have") Always open to suggestions!

Part Of, Not Distinct From
Books dedicated to exploring how nature is all around us no matter how we try to fight it! Whether right outside our door, within our microbiomes, or deeper into our cities, nature will find us. After all, we are a part of it, not distinct from it.

Minibeasts
A nonfiction list dedicated to learning about the most numerous animals on our planet - the tiny and mighty minibeasts!
"Minibeasts" is an informal term used to describe small invertebrates - this includes, but is absolutely not limited to, insects, arachnids, snails, slugs, and worms! Would you call it a creepy crawly or a bug? Then it's probably a minibeast!
List name has been altered to differentiate it from the quest. I'll likely remove the list soon, as a heads up π

human inquiry into nature

Itβs okay to judge a book by itβs cover!
Beautiful books for when your monthly reading roundup needs a little facelift π

The Ecologistβs Essentials
A list of books essential to understanding and appreciating the natural world. Donβt forget to bask in the sunshine like an ectotherm βοΈ you deserve it!

Nature & Rewilding π
All about wildlife, nature, and restoring what we humans have lost. Attempting to include mostly inspirational books, but some may be harder hitting.

So you want to study ecology and evolution π
Read these books first! Take a deep dive into the wonderful ecosystems that have evolved over millions of years and realise that humans are not as unique as we like to think.
Itβs much cheaper than a degree (coming from a conservation and ecology major) π€ͺ
